Coordinator of Campus Events
Summary of Position
This position shares the responsibility of coordinating the IWU visit program with the members of the Campus Visit Team. In this capacity, this position assists with prospecting and recruitment opportunities. This position manages and orchestrates all aspects of the University Campus Visit Program, specializing in organizing University Visit Days. This position also assists with Custom Visits, Group Visits, hospitality for all admissions guests, and hiring and training of the Admissions Ambassadors student workers. Finally, this position may also assist with the development and implementation of visit workshops, high school and off-site workshops, and admissions presence at IWU events and summer conferences.
Duties And Responsibilities
Create the schedule and plan for General Visit Days and Academic Spotlight Days to meet guests' needs and expectations and best highlight IWU distinctives and program strengths in a manner that moves prospective students toward enrollment. Willingness to critically evaluate and change this plan as needed
Communicate with faculty, coaches, and staff concerning specific roles in visit or event including one-on-one appointments, academic and resource fairs, academic division tours, presentations, technical needs, campus tours, signage, displays, overnight accommodations, catering and meals
Schedule campus visits advising prospective students and families on the best visit to meet their unique needs and goals, and interact face-to-face with guests and adjust schedules to meet last minute requests (when possible) and do this in a manner that puts the guests at ease and maintains a positive visit experience
Include telephone outreach to prospective students, parents, and groups
Assist with CRM implementation for visit scheduling and reporting, aid the Visit Team with front office coverage, lobby care and visit responsibilities as needed, attend and help with recruitment events including Admitted Students Weekend and youth conferences during non-traditional work hours, assist with special projects or events as requested

Education: Bachelor's Degree Required
Experience: One to three years experience in a professional work setting, preferably in higher education or customer service role
One to three years experience in event planning
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with high school students and their parents, including individuals from diverse communities and cultures
