About the Role

Support the philosophy of the curriculum content department by assisting the content director with curriculum development and implementation. Maintain continuous knowledge of current district curriculum, state, and local standards in content area initiatives. Select and assist with the implementation of district-wide curriculum, programs, and assessments, including curriculum writing to bridge to district-designated curriculum. Progress monitor student mastery through formative and summative curriculum-embedded assessments.

Create and facilitate district-level professional development and instructional programs that integrate technology into the classroom. Serve as a liaison between School Leadership Division offices and the curriculum content department. Consult with campus leadership to ensure continuous improvement in student achievement. Coordinate and facilitate special group meetings to gather field feedback and collaborate with other departments to develop curriculum programs that meet the needs of diverse students.

Develop and maintain positive, collegial working relationships with peers, leadership personnel, campus administrators, and teachers. Assist with participation in district-wide events, professional development, and content-related extracurricular activities. Collaborate with the Evaluation and Accountability department in data analysis for curriculum content assessments. Prepare and review content-related district-level presentations, summaries, reports, data, and other documents for distribution to the executive director and/or curriculum content director.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (required).
• Master’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred).
• Valid Texas Teacher Certificate with required endorsements for subject and level assigned in related content area (preferred).
• 5+ years of direct experience in classroom teaching, administrative, and/or professional development in an educational setting with diverse student populations (required).
• Ability to implement, present, and edit/revise written communication in all forms, ensuring precision and accuracy.
• Demonstrated proficiency in organizing and conducting effective professional development.
• Knowledge of district’s content curriculum, national/state/local standards, and district initiatives such as the evaluation instrument for classroom teachers.

Skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Apps, web-based applications, and digital instructional tools.
• Ability to create and facilitate professional development (asynchronous and synchronous), design web pages, and surveys.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build teamwork, problem-solve, and take initiative.
• Leadership skills to support district and departmental goals while prioritizing tasks within time constraints.
• Proficiency in developing, organizing, and conducting effective professional development related to curriculum content.

Pay

Minimum Salary: $74,996.00

Median Salary: $91,458.00
