Position Details

The Coordinator for Learning Communities develops and coordinates residential learning initiatives that support student engagement, academic success, and community building. Through collaboration with faculty, campus partners, and Housing staff, this position creates and assesses programs and experiences that promote student learning, belonging, and retention while providing support for student staff and residential community participants.

This position is responsible for developing and implementing residential learning initiatives that enhance student engagement, academic success, and community building. It involves collaborating with faculty, campus partners, and Housing staff to design and assess programs and experiences that support student learning, belonging, and retention.

Responsibilities

  • Create and implement residential learning initiatives that support student engagement, academic success, and community building.
  • Collaborate with faculty, campus partners, and Housing staff to design and assess programs and experiences that promote student learning, belonging, and retention.
  • Provide support for student staff and residential community participants.
  • Collect, analyze, and utilize assessment data to evaluate program effectiveness and support continuous improvement of student learning initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Strong communication, organization, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other teams within the department, as well as campus partners across divisions.
  • Experience with academic support, student success initiatives, or residential learning programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise student staff members.
  • Availability to work flexible hours including occasional nights and weekends.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Strong communication, organization, and critical thinking skills. Experience with academic support, student success initiatives, or residential learning programs. Demonstrated ability to supervise student staff members.
