Coordinator, Contracts II
About the role
The Coordinator, Contracts II is responsible for creating and executing consulting, sponsorship, and promotional speaker contracts in accordance with AbbVie's policies and objectives. This position manages the end-to-end Sponsorship process and Speaker program process, including contract creation, negotiation, and implementation. They work closely with external consultants, speakers, institutions, and large non-profit organizations, and collaborate with various business stakeholders, Legal, OEC, and other groups.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with applicable AbbVie policies and procedures, and demonstrate knowledge of external guidelines to ensure compliance.
- Manage the end-to-end sponsorship and speaker programs, including approval of requests, negotiations, and contract execution.
- Identify, develop, and implement improved and standardized contracting practices to ensure efficient processes for the business.
- Develop standard guidelines and updates related to the consulting, speaker, or sponsorship contracting process.
- Seek, develop, and establish business relationships with multiple groups across the organization, including Legal, Commercial Operations, Medical Affairs, R&D.
- Manage legal precedent agreements with institutions/waiver countries, manage contract templates, evaluate nominations and Fair Market Value (FMV).
- Manage the process to implement contract templates into the contracting system, including mapping of all templates and coordinating user interface testing.
- Manage legal relationships and precedent agreements, evaluate nominations & FMV.
- Effectively develop and negotiate agreements with key opinion leaders, patients, advocacy executives, and top non-profit organizations.
- Mentor junior employees and demonstrate leadership in team settings and with key stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred. Paralegal certification desired.
- Excellent attention to detail and deep critical thinking skills.
- Total combined minimum years of experience required: 4+ years.
- Must possess the appropriate level of skills necessary to effectively interface with all levels of employees and external HCPs, non-HCPs, patients, and non-profit organizations.
- Related experiences to include: Negotiation, Project Management, and Contracting Experience.
- Computer applications (word processing, spreadsheets, and presentations).
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills and the desire to provide a high level of customer service.
- Possess the potential to advance to higher positions in the organization.
