Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support planning, tracking and execution of West Coast events
  • Source and evaluate venues for events
  • Coordinate logistics including invitation lists, tracking RSVPs, materials, vendor communication and on-site support
  • Avoidance of repetitive tasks such as budget tracking, vendor management, and event metrics coordination
  • Avoidance of swag coordination, which is handled by the Events team
  • Maintain and update CRM data, client lists, and experience records for targeted outreach
  • Conduct market, industry and client research to support partner meetings, pitches and client targeting efforts
  • Monitor competitor activity to identify new business opportunities
  • Maintain and update website content and update lawyer biographies across multiple channels
  • Avoidance of directory and awards submission coordination, which is handled by the Communications team
  • Avoidance of conference and sponsorship opportunity coordination, which is handled by the Events team
  • Coordinate with the Communications team on campaigns, external communications, press releases and social media activity that highlight West Coast initiatives

Education

Required: Bachelor’s degree

Preferred: Major in Advertising, Marketing, Communications, Public relations, or related field

Skills and Experience

  • 2 years of relevant business experience
  • Proactive, resourceful, and highly organized, with the ability to anticipate needs and follow through on assignments
  • Strong attention to detail and self-motivated to produce accurate, timely, and complete work product
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and excellent research and analytical skills
  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects across offices
  • Leverage institutional knowledge in own work
  • Proficiency in MS Office programs such as Outlook, Word, and Excel

Physical Demands

  • Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
  • Sitting: Remaining in the seated position, particularly for sustained periods of time.
  • Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another.
  • Lifting: Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally.
  • Pulling/Pushing: Using upper extremities to exert steady force upon an object so that the object moves toward or away from the force.
  • Bending/Stooping/Kneeling/Crouching: Bending body downward and forward by bending legs and spine, or by bending legs at knees.
  • Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.

Schedule

The scheduled hours for this position are 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Must be flexible and willing to work overtime as needed

Salary Information

CA Only: The estimated base salary range for this position is $65,000 to $80,000 at the time of posting.

The actual salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.

This role is non-exempt meaning it is overtime pay eligible.
