About the role

The Coordinator, Business Development role supports business development initiatives and strategies for the Firm’s global Transactional practice. This position will be based in our Palo Alto office (hybrid).

Responsibilities

  • Supports business development initiatives and strategies for the Firm’s global Transactional practice.
  • Develops and tracks high-level pitches, proposals, RFPs and marketing materials, gathering relevant data and supporting the drafting of legal directory submissions.
  • Collects, maintains experience content and plans client-facing activities, such as firm-sponsored client events, industry sponsorships, and conferences.
  • Supports the full range of practice group marketing and business development activities.
  • Maintains organization of the Transactional business development function through a number of efforts, including:
    • Tracking the status of various business development initiatives and events.
    • Following up with team members to document and share outcomes and best practices.
    • Compiling and tracking practice matter experience in the firm's global database.
    • Maintaining list of memberships/sponsorships, handling deliverables and tracking ROI.
    • Gathering and maintaining information on business development plans and budgets.
    • Aids in the creation, preparation, and coordination of RFPs, proposals and pitches for new business opportunities.
    • Collaborates with Firm Experience team on the collection of matter descriptions.
    • Aids in coordinating and tracking overall thought leadership opportunities, including speaking engagements and articles.
    • Maintains and updates marketing collateral, including relevant practice group brochures, one-pagers, PowerPoint decks, attorney bios, experience lists and client mailings, among others.
    • Coordinates with Events team and others on in-person and virtual conferences, seminars, forums, sponsorships and speaking engagements; assists with internal and external events as needed, including on-ground support.
    • Collaborates with Strategic Intelligence team to generate reports on clients and prospects, industry and market trends and competitive intelligence reports.
    • Supports in-house CLE presentations, coordinating logistics, materials and CLE credit.
    • Leverages Firm CRM and Experience databases to identify and confirm relationship targets and relevant experience for business development opportunities.
    • Coordinates with Marketing team to update and maintain various Firm mailings lists used for event and client mailings.
    • Coordinates with Marketing Communications and Social Media team on communications pieces to promote the Firm, practice and attorneys.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of relevant Firm computer software programs (e.g., Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Minimum of one year of related experience in a law firm or related experience in a professional services environment.

Skills

  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with business development tools and processes.

Pay

The starting base salary for this position is expected to be within the range listed under Salary Details. Actual salary will be determined based on skills, experience (to the extent relevant) and other-job related factors, consistent with applicable law.

Schedule

This position is eligible for overtime pay and may be eligible for a discretionary year-end bonus.

Salary Details

$80,000 - $85,000
