Job Description

We have an opening for a Coordinator, Business Development, Securities and Capital Markets (“SECAP”) in our New York office. The Coordinator, Business Development supports and plays a key role in advancing Paul Hastings’ business development and marketing initiatives across SECAP.

Responsibilities

  • Work with attorneys and business development team members to draft and produce high-quality pitches, proposals and RFP responses;
  • Develop and maintain marketing materials, including practice descriptions, web content, attorney biographies and experience lists;
  • Cover submissions for legal directories, awards and rankings relevant to the firm’s SECAP and other corporate practices;
  • Coordinate submissions for sponsorships and partnerships, ensuring the firm maximizes benefits and return on investment;
  • Maintain client targeting databases, including the Firm’s IPO tracker;
  • Conduct research on clients, prospects and competitors to support meetings and cross-selling opportunities;
  • Collaborate with the events team and attorneys to plan and execute client events, seminars and webinars. Maintain key contact mailing lists;
  • Track deal flow and log experience in the Firm’s matter-management database (Foundation);
  • Assist with client targeting;
  • Work with the marketing and communications teams on media relations, editorial projects, design and digital marketing initiatives;
  • Build knowledge of Firm practice areas to effectively support marketing strategies;
  • and Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in marketing, law or business (required);
  • At least 2 years of marketing professional experience (preferred);
  • Experience supporting a corporate group at a law firm (preferred).

Pay

The salary wage range for New York that we expect to pay for this position is a minimum of $64,000 and a maximum of $79,500 annually. The actual pay wage may vary based on experience or other relevant factors.
