Coordinator BMT Assistant

Responsibilities

• Operate a computer and promote customer service initiatives
• Answer telephone promptly and appropriately
• Schedule BMT patient testing and procedures
• Obtain all test results and compile them in patient binders for coordinators
• Obtain and organize new patient information
• Fax applicable information to BMT team distribution groups
• Follow directions to ensure the workflow of the department
• Support the facility’s Standards of Performance and ICARE values
• Maintain knowledge and follow all CMS and JCAHO requirements
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Medical Assistant certification preferred
• Post high-school training including medical terminology and knowledge of diagnostic testing
• Medical Assistant, Unit Secretary, or other equivalent experience preferred
