Cook's Helper - Dominique Ansel Marche - Steady Extra (Paris LV)

Responsibilities

• Prepare, sauté, broil, fry, bake and grill food items in accordance with kitchen needs.
• Helping to do preparation work; cutting, slicing, dicing, etc.
• Perform various job duties that will include assisting the operation of grill, fryer, broiler, oven and French top in accordance with kitchen needs.
• Perform preliminary preparation work in a timely manner.
• Ensures ingredient supply levels are accurate.
• Moves items from shelves to carts and transports them to assigned stations for restocking purposes.
• Maintains the required part of food items in their assigned station from support areas throughout the property.
• Understands proper safety and health codes and regulations and maintains them regularly.
• Ensures all areas assigned are clean and free of debris.
• To assist with any other job-related duties that may be assigned.

Qualifications

• Effective communication in English, both verbal and written form in a professional manner.
• A minimum of two years' experience as a cook.
• A neat appearance with good personal hygiene.
• Two years' fry cooking experience is required.
• Previous experience cooking eggs is preferred.
• Previous work experience with a point of sales system is preferred.
• You must be able to provide your own tools, including a chef’s knife, carving/slicing knife, metal spatula, metal tongs, carving fork and a paring knife.
• Must be able to work any day of the week and during any shift.
• Must be able to get along with co-workers and must be able to work as a team.

Additional Requirements

• The ability to work from a standing position for extended periods of time.
• A loud, fast-paced environment, multiple tasks to be handled under time constraint.
• The need to stand, walk, bend, push, pull, lift and reach throughout the shift.
• The ability to handle a heavy business volume in a timely manner.
• The ability to push carts up to 70lbs, lift full pots up to 100lbs, perform repetitive stirring, endure extreme hot and cold work conditions, and bend at the waist.
