Cook (PRN) - Seven Hills Square

About the role

Seven Hills Square is seeking cooks to assist in the preparation, oversight, and serving of meals. The role involves delivering top-notch food service in a high-quality, cutting-edge community. Successful candidates will utilize their culinary and managerial skills to enhance resident satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Prepare palatable foods that are appetizing in appearance
• Adhere to safety and sanitary requirements
• Learn and follow written and verbal instructions
• Provide pleasant, friendly, and helpful service at all times
• Ensure proper and timely service

Requirements

• Maintain a current ServSafe certificate or participate in training to become ServSafe certified
• High School diploma or GED
• Culinary apprenticeship or training preferred
• One (1) year job-related experience in food preparation, full-line menu items, and therapeutic diets
• Three years' experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or service environment preferred
• Culinary arts experience preferred
• CPR & First-Aid certifications preferred
• Ability to work in an environment conducive to caring for residents without posing a substantial safety or health threat
• Work well with others and promote a team environment

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years or older in North Carolina, must be 18 years or older if operating power-driven machines
• Well-groomed and able to follow dress requirements

Skills

• Culinary arts experience
• ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain one
• First Aid/CPR certifications
