About the role

Select Specialty Hospital - The Villages is a critical illness recovery hospital dedicated to providing world-class inpatient post-ICU services to chronically ill patients. The hospital aims to offer compassionate, excellent care throughout the recovery process.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals for patients and the cafeteria following standardized recipes and portion control guidelines.
• Clean and maintain kitchen equipment.
• Stay informed about nutritional services and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• One (1) year of cooking experience is required.
• A high school degree or equivalent is preferred.
• A Culinary Arts degree is preferred.
• Completion of a state or local food safety-training course is preferred.
• Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow detailed instructions and standardized procedures.
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain hygiene standards.
• Strong communication skills to interact with patients and staff.

Skills

• Knowledge of culinary arts and nutrition.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills for ordering supplies and managing inventory.

Pay

The pay rate is $19.00 per hour.

Schedule

The schedule is PRN/Per Diem.
