Job Responsibilities
- Captures production and prepares meals for residents.
- Serves nutritious, appealing meals according to orders, standards, and regulations.
- Develops and maintains recipes and menu creation.
- Maintains continuous quality improvement of meals.
- Manages kitchen and dining areas as assigned, including cleanliness and training.
- Observes and documents resident conditions.
- Encourages residents' independence and choice.
- Maintains dining areas.
- Operates and cleans kitchen equipment safely.
- Assists with special events, setting up and cleaning as needed.
- Follows infection control procedures and guidelines.
- Washes hands and performs cleaning duties.
- Cleans and sanitizes equipment as assigned.
Qualifications
- Prior work experience in quantity cooking and therapeutic diets.
- Ability to measure and comprehend certain quantities.
- Certification as a food protection manager by ServSafe or equivalent program.
- Basic communication and comprehension skills.
- Knowledge of foodborne disease prevention and application of food safety principles.
