Converting Machine Operator

About the role

Operate and monitor converting equipment to produce quality products that meet customer specifications and company standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and adjust converting machinery
• Monitor production and inspect finished products
• Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and perform minor maintenance repairs
• Change rolls of material safely and efficiently using Converting Department equipment
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Complete production documentation (Setup sheets, Quality Control Sheets, Production sheets) according to company guidelines
• Assist packers to keep production lines running (make boxes, stack boxes, pack and label product as needed)
• Clean and organize the Converting Department at the end of each shift
• Collaborate with fellow operators to minimize downtime and maintain high production standards
• Follow all Environmental Health & Safety policies and procedures
• Prioritize personal and team safety at all times
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum of one year of experience in an industrial environment
• Experience with automated manufacturing equipment
• Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including every other weekend, weekends, and holidays
• Essential reading and writing skills
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Able to stand for 8–12 hours during a shift

Pay

Starting salary: $22 per hour.
