Machine Operator

About the Role

At Cerro Flow Products, a Marmon Holdings company, our production team plays an essential role in manufacturing high-quality copper tube products used across a variety of industries. We’re looking for dependable individuals who take pride in producing quality work and contributing to a team. This position operates in a unionized manufacturing environment and involves routine, hands-on production and assembly work. Employees may work at a production line, workbench, or machine station and rotate tasks based on operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Assemble products or components using manual and machine-assisted processes.
• Perform production tasks such as inspecting, sorting, packaging, labeling, trimming, tying, snipping, or preparing materials.
• Operate basic manufacturing or packaging equipment.
• Make minor equipment adjustments within the scope of the position.
• Monitor product quality and report defects or equipment concerns to supervision.
• Complete routine workstation cleaning and basic preventive maintenance tasks.
• Move materials, products, assemblies, or equipment to support production flow.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow plant safety requirements, established work instructions, and applicable CBA provisions.
• Perform other related duties assigned to support production operations.

Requirements

• Ability to follow standardized work instructions and established safety procedures.
• Dependability and the ability to meet attendance and shift requirements.
• Ability to perform repetitive, production-paced work while maintaining attention to safety and quality.
• Basic mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn and rotate between assigned production tasks.
• Previous manufacturing, assembly, machine operation, warehouse, packaging, or other hands-on experience is helpful but not required.

Work Environment

This position is based in a manufacturing plant that produces copper tube products. The work may involve:

• Standing for extended periods.
• Repetitive movements and production-paced tasks.
• Working around industrial machinery and manufacturing materials.
• Exposure to noise and other conditions typical of an industrial environment.
• Wearing required personal protective equipment.
• Moving materials or products as required by the position.

Pay

Compensation for this union position is established and governed by the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement. Pay rates range from $20.70 to $25.30 per hour, based on job classification, assigned shift, and the applicable contractual wage schedule.
