Control System Engineer (PE) - SCADA
About the role
Your daily job function will include one or more of the following:
- Design SCADA Network, panel layouts, I/O wiring diagrams and fiber optic networks.
- Develop Bill of Materials and Estimates for Design projects.
- Prepare drawings detailing the system designed utilizing AutoCAD and REVIT.
- Develop Conceptual design reports and Concept of Operation Documents.
- Prepare Engineering Specifications.
- Cook up work with engineers of other disciplines and architects.
- Lead SCADA Engineering Designs.
- Engage with SCADA vendors and manufacturers to understand product capabilities.
Responsibilities
You will be exposed to and become proficient in designing and implementation of SCADA systems. Additional requirements include knowledge of PLC and HMI programming, panel building, power distribution system, Mechanical Systems (Pump, Fuel and Generators), fire alarm and life safety systems and construction administration services.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering (Controls focus), Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
- Professional Engineering (PE) License in Control Systems.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit.
- Proficiency with Rockwell Automation, Siemens, Schneider, Wonderware SCADA manufacturers.
- Must have minimum requirements to work Government Projects.
- 10%-15% travel time expected with trip durations 1 to 2 weeks, local or international travel.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of related experience in SCADA design and integration.
- Experience with SCADA systems from various manufacturers such as Rockwell Automation, Siemens, Schneider, Wonderware.
- Experience with PLC and HMI programming.
- Experience with panel building and power distribution systems.
- Experience with Mechanical Systems (Pump, Fuel and Generators).
- Experience with fire alarm and life safety systems.
- Experience with construction administration services.
Skills
- Strong understanding of SCADA systems and protocols.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Pay
The base salary range for this position is $120,000.00 to $165,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
