Contract Nurses (LPN and/or RN)
Position Overview
Dickson Health and Rehab is seeking dependable, compassionate, and experienced Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our clinical team on a contract basis. These positions are offered in 12-week contract periods. At the completion of each 12-week period, the contract will need to be reviewed and re-signed for an additional 12-week period, based on facility needs, performance, and continued eligibility. We are looking for nurses who are committed to providing high-quality care to our residents while maintaining professionalism, teamwork, and strong clinical standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care in accordance with residents' plans of care.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
- Complete accurate and timely documentation.
- Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly report concerns.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, nursing leadership, residents, and families.
- Supervise and provide direction to CNAs as appropriate.
- Respond appropriately to resident emergencies and changes in condition.
- Follow infection prevention and control practices.
- Maintain resident dignity, privacy, and confidentiality.
- Follow all facility policies, procedures, and clinical protocols.
- Complete required documentation and charting before the end of the assigned shift.
- Participate in shift report and ensure proper communication during change of shift.
- Maintain professional and respectful communication with residents, families, coworkers, and management.
Qualifications
LPN Applicants:
- Current and active LPN license in good standing.
- Current CPR/BLS certification, as required.
- Long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred.
RN Applicants:
- Current and active RN license in good standing.
- Current CPR/BLS certification, as required.
- Long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred.
Contract Terms & Expectations
- Each contract period is 12 weeks.
- At the end of each 12-week period, a new 12-week contract must be reviewed and signed if the contract is being continued.
- Renewal of a contract is not automatic and may be based on facility needs, job performance, attendance, compliance with facility policies, and continued eligibility.
- Contract nurses are expected to report to all accepted and scheduled shifts on time.
- Nurses must maintain all required licenses, certifications, and credentials throughout the contract period.
- Contract staff must meet facility standards for attendance, conduct, documentation, resident care, and professionalism.
- All facility policies, procedures, dress code requirements, and identification requirements must be followed.
- Contract nurses are expected to work cooperatively with facility staff and nursing leadership.
Schedule
Contract opportunities may be available for:
- Day Shift
- Night Shift
- Weekdays
- Weekends
- Additional shifts based on facility needs
