About the Role

This position is responsible for developing, monitoring, and implementing contracts across the Health Improvement and Benefit Design division and the Health Care Administration (HCA). As the subject matter expert, you will manage contracts for the State’s Integrated Care for High-Risk Pregnancies grant program, the Child & Teen Checkups program, and other critical initiatives. The role involves leading a collaborative process among DHS health-related administrations, contracted vendors, various DHS business units, Minnesota Health Care Programs (MHCP) providers, and IT systems to ensure timelines are met, federal and state guidelines are followed, policy objectives are achieved, and quality, cost-effective care is provided to MHCP clients.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, monitor, and implement contracts for health care programs and initiatives.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for contracts related to the Integrated Care for High-Risk Pregnancies grant program and the Child & Teen Checkups program.
  • Lead collaborative processes among DHS administrations, vendors, business units, MHCP providers, and IT systems.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state guidelines, policy objectives, and timelines.
  • Oversee projects to provide quality, cost-effective care to MHCP clients.
  • Develop work plans, track and report progress, and create processes and procedures for large projects.
  • Prepare and deliver oral presentations and written materials, including professional and technical contracts, grants, reports, and informational literature.

Requirements

  • Three years of health care and/or health policy experience, including:
    • Ensuring compliance for programs such as Minnesota Health Care Programs, Medical Assistance (MA), MinnesotaCare (MNCare), or similar.
    • Experience in oral presentations and/or writing for projects, including contracts, grants, reports, and editing professional staff work.
    • Developing work plans, tracking progress, and overseeing large projects.
  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher in a health care field, public policy, public health, business, or a related field may substitute for one year of professional experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to use technology tools for research, data analysis, and communication.
  • Experience managing projects and facilitating consensus among agencies, interest groups, and constituents.
  • Ability to foster creativity, risk-taking, and innovative ideas.
  • Experience working within a broad range of interdisciplinary areas.
  • Experience working effectively with diverse backgrounds and cultures.

Pay

$32.97 - $48.60/hourly; $68,841 - $101,476/annually

Schedule

Day Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Days of Work: Monday - Friday
Travel Required: No
