Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts for various construction disciplines (e.g., piling, civil foundations, structural steel erection, piping, electrical).
- Draft, review, and formalize contract annexes for specific project requirements, including contractual tools to ensure on-time and on-budget execution (e.g., liquidated damages, incentives).
- Collaborate with Project Management, Construction Management, legal, and other teams on contract-related issues.
- Manage change orders, amendments, and close-out.
- Routinely monitor contractor performance to ensure compliance with scope, schedule, and budget.
- Manage claims, disputes, and conflict resolution in collaboration with Project Management, Legal, Finance, and other stakeholders.
- Provide routine reporting on contract status, risk, and compliance.
- Perform various administrative and clerical duties related to contract management.
- Work overtime as required; regular, punctual attendance is mandatory.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum five years of experience in contract management, preferably in capital projects or construction.
- Construction purchasing experience required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Physical Demands
- Ability to work weekends and long hours in a high-pressure environment.
- Must be accessible at any time for emergencies.
- Frequent bending, stooping, and lifting required.
- Must be able to sit for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally.
