About the role

As the Manager – Field Services, you will lead, direct, and execute the operational objectives of multiple projects to ensure timely completion of large projects in accordance with the customer contract. You must be skilled in heavy equipment operation and geographically mobile, willing to relocate based on customer projects. This role involves assignment to multiple locations and customers.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises, coordinates, or schedules activities of the field service staff.
  • Directs achievement of performance objectives related to productivity, quality, service, and safety.
  • Monitors workflow metrics and takes corrective action as needed.
  • Balances staff across various projects for fluctuating requirements.
  • Ensures all procedures are observed, implemented, enforced, and training is provided when necessary in processing transactions.
  • Ensures timely and accurate completion of all customer and inventory transactions.
  • Safeguards inventory assets of the company, maintains integrity of all transactions, and ensures overall inventory accuracy above 99.5%.
  • Maintains positive employee relations and morale while enforcing discipline as required.
  • Monitors workflow, work completed, error rates, and related metrics; takes appropriate action when required.
  • Fosters an environment of continuous improvement in all aspects of the operation.
  • Implements cost reduction initiatives where necessary.
  • Travels to customer sites as needed for equipment start-up, customer training, service issues, problem troubleshooting, and related service tasks.
  • Develops best practices and standard tools to improve operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • High School Degree or Equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Forklift certification required; OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 preferred.
  • 5 years of heavy equipment operation (forklift certified).
  • 5 years of supervision experience in a construction environment.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control processes.
  • Knowledge of electrical, construction, or mechanical products.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions.
  • Ability to operate hand and power tools and equipment.
  • Geographically mobile and willing to relocate based on customer projects.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to anticipate and prepare for customer needs.
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and perform multiple tasks simultaneously.

Working Environment

  • Work is generally performed in an office environment but may require travel to customer sites or warehouse facilities.
  • Driving may be required for extended periods with frequent stops and starts.
  • Exposure to outdoor weather conditions, including heat, cold, wind, and moisture.
  • Work is physically strenuous, requiring lifting of heavy packages up to 50 pounds, excessive bending or stooping, walking long distances repeatedly, climbing ladders, and using hand tools.
  • Operation of heavy machinery (e.g., forklift).

Pay

$112,724 - $152,178 annually. This amount reflects the reasonable expected pay range for the position; actual offer amounts may vary based on factors such as geographic location, relevant education, experience, qualifications, skills, shift, or any collective bargaining agreements.
