About the Role

UT Southwestern is a world-renowned medical and research center committed to excellence, innovation, teamwork, and compassion. As a Contract Administrator II, you will work under minimal direction to collaborate with end-users, Group Purchasing Organizations, and Contract Management for the sourcing of goods and services. This position leads and supports sourcing and contracting activities in assigned categories, with a hybrid work schedule requiring one day per week in the office and as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the sourcing and contracting of medical/surgical products, equipment, and services in collaboration with end-users, Group Purchasing Organizations, and Contracts Management, aligning with contract compliance and expense reduction initiatives.
  • Manage ongoing vendor relationships and contracts.
  • Coordinate with end-users in preparing RFX (Request for X) and provide direction on recommended sourcing approaches based on contract hierarchy and federal/state regulations.
  • Implement a Value-Based selection process to position the Office of Purchasing as a trusted advisor.
  • Review transactional data to identify opportunities for improved pricing and verify expected outcomes post-implementation.
  • Coordinate contract review and execution, tracking processes to fulfillment.
  • Review contracts to ensure compliance with UT Southwestern policies and procedures.
  • Monitor contractors for HUB (Historically Underutilized Business) and insurance compliance per contractual requirements.
  • Maintain effective record-keeping to ensure all contract documents are readily accessible.
  • Compile information and respond to internal and external audit requests.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, Associate's Degree, or Bachelor's Degree.
  • 4 years of administrative experience with a High School diploma or equivalent, or 2 years of administrative experience with an Associate's degree. No experience required with a Bachelor's Degree.
  • Contract development, project management, and procurement experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, PeopleSoft, DocuSign, and Jaggaer.
  • Prior experience in a healthcare setting preferred.

This position is based in Dallas, Texas, and is full-time with a day shift schedule.
