Content Marketing Manager

We are seeking a Content Marketing Manager to join our dynamic team at Contrarian Thinking. This role requires a unique blend of creativity, strategic thinking, and operational excellence.

About the role

The Content Marketing Manager will work across all content teams and platform leads to enhance content performance, conversion rates, and overall effectiveness. They will collaborate with writers, editors, producers, growth marketers, designers, and platform leads to develop and execute on high-performing content strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with platform leads across TikTok, YouTube, X, Podcast, and Newsletter
  • Help improve content strategy, packaging, positioning, and campaign execution
  • Act as a connective layer between content, growth, and marketing teams
  • Identify how content can better drive leads, sales, event registrations, newsletter signups, membership applications, and brand authority
  • Improve hooks, CTAs, story flow, proof, retention, and positioning
  • Think beyond views and focus on business outcomes
  • Brainstorm high-performing concepts, series, launches, partnerships, and campaigns
  • Bring fresh ideas based on trends, audience behavior, platform shifts, cultural moments, and competitive research
  • Help turn founder insights into scalable content frameworks and repeatable series
  • Help organize launch calendars, campaign coordination, and distribution plans
  • Ensure teams are aligned on messaging, goals, and priorities
  • Create tighter feedback loops between content performance and future strategy
  • Review analytics and identify patterns across platforms
  • Understand what content converts versus what only gets attention
  • Balance creativity with performance marketing thinking
  • Understand both content and marketing deeply

Requirements

  • Experience working with creator brands, media companies, or fast-moving startups
  • Obsessed with why content works
  • Strong instincts around hooks, positioning, virality, and audience psychology
  • Can collaborate with creatives without slowing them down
  • Think in campaigns, not one-off posts
  • Moves quickly and takes ownership naturally
  • Understands internet culture and business audiences
  • Has experience with launches, funnels, or direct response marketing
  • Understands how to make content drive revenue, not just engagement
  • Has experience managing multiple stakeholders and creative teams
  • Knows how to use AI tools to speed up ideation, workflows, and production

Pay

Full-time, in-office role at our Austin, Texas headquarters.

Schedule
