About the role
The Department Consumer Services - SFV School Age 7 Supervision position at North Los Angeles County Regional Center (NLACRC) involves providing information, advocacy, and service arrangements for consumers and families. The role includes developing and monitoring program plans for individuals, coordinating services, and advocating for individuals served by community agencies. It also entails rotating as an officer-of-the-day, assisting colleagues with special projects, and providing emergency on-call services.
Responsibilities
- Provides information, advocacy, and service arrangements for consumers and families.
- Develops and monitors program plans for individuals, and revises them as necessary.
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective service delivery.
- Identifies and coordinates services for individuals and their families.
- Documents, completes forms, and reports in compliance with regulations and NLACRC policies and procedures.
- Serves as an advocate for individuals served by community agencies.
- Schedules and attends interdisciplinary meetings with individuals served, family members, service providers, advocates, etc.
- Identifies barriers to service delivery and implements culturally sensitive strategies.
- Rotates as an officer-of-the-day, assisting colleagues with special projects and unique situations.
- Provides case coverage as needed and provides emergency on-call services when required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, sociology, or related human services field and at least two years of related experience.
- A Master’s degree in a related subject may be substituted for experience.
- Understanding of family systems and person-centered planning.
- Knowledge of intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Good organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and cooperatively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with MS Word and MS Outlook.
Qualifications
- Valid California Driver’s License and reliable transportation, or acceptable substitute.
- Bilingual Spanish may be required dependent upon position.

Pay
Regular Salary: $26.86 - $37.96 per hour. Starting salary is typically between the $26.86 and $29.65 of the range, depending on internal equity and experience.
Schedule
Hybrid – Remote option available.
