Consultant Développeur JAVA H/F – New York

About the role

Recruited to reinforce our New York team, we are seeking a Consultant Developer JAVA to work on improving electronic market systems within the financial domain (front office/trading side). The bank operates in 80 countries and employs over 200,000 people, with more than 150,000 in Europe. It holds a prominent position across its three main activities: Retail Banking, Investment Solutions, and Financing and Investment Banking. The development team is part of a global pricing team and electronic markets technology that develops systems used for trading activity.

Responsibilities

• Conceive and develop distributed applications for pricing and electronic markets as a member of a global development team.
• Collaborate with traders, developers, commercial analysts, and suppliers to determine functional requirements and application integration plans.
• Provide second-line support for applications used by the front office users.

Requirements

• Proven expertise in Java.
• Experience in a trading front-office environment.
• Ability to design and develop scalable, maintainable, and supportable solutions.
• A good understanding of Java memory model and multithreading development.
• Knowledge of the SDLC and previous experience in large-scale software development projects.
• Able to take an overview to consider system dependencies, cases of interest, and the impact of changes on providing robust solutions.
• Experience in developing electronic trading systems.
• Knowledge of interest rate products (Treasuries, IR Swaps, etc.) and their trading cycle.
• Previous experience in a major international investment bank, particularly in a front office (trading) environment.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience working with SQL Server and/or Oracle.
• Experience with trading connectivity services (connectivity, STP, RFQ, VMO, and MMI).
• Knowledge of TIBCO Rendezvous.
• Python proficiency.
