Job Requirement: Java-Based Developer with Performance Engineer Location: New York Downtown (Manhattan) - Local Candidate Only Position Type: Contract for 1 year Work Arrangement: Hybrid (2 Days Onsite - Tuesday, Wednesday) Job Description We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Performance Engineer with expertise in Java-based applications to join our team. This is a hybrid role, involving working onsite at our New York Downtown (Manhattan) office for two days per week (Tuesday and Wednesday). Key Responsibilities Java development experience is a must. 12+ Years of experience Collaborate with development teams to analyze, design, and execute performance tests for Java-based applications. Develop and maintain performance test scripts, scenarios, and strategies. Identify performance bottlenecks and issues, and provide recommendations for optimization. Create and maintain performance testing frameworks and tools. Generate detailed performance test reports and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders. Stay updated with industry best practices and trends related to performance testing and optimization. Qualifications Proven experience as a Performance Engineer, specifically with Java-based applications. Strong proficiency in performance testing tools, such as JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar. Solid understanding of Java programming, debugging, and profiling. Knowledge of various performance monitoring and profiling tools. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Knowledge of agile development methodologies is a plus.
