About the role

Senior Java Developer position for a front-office trading technology team in New York City. This is a W2 role open to local candidates only, with a hybrid schedule requiring 3–4 days onsite per week.

Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years of application development experience in Front-Office Fixed Income, Equities, or FX platforms
• Strong hands-on coding, design, and testing skills for Rates and Credit eTrading platforms
• Experience with Fixed Income, FX, Equity, or eTrading domains, including ECN connectivity, pricing, and STP (Straight Through Processing)
• Emphasis on low latency, high capacity, and performance optimization — messaging layer, data caching, data structures, concurrency

Skills

• Proficient in server-side Java development
• Messaging technologies: Solace, Kafka, Aeron, MQ
• SQL and database technologies: MS SQL, Oracle
• DevOps tools: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, UrbanCode
• AWS experience (S3, SQS, SSM, KMS, etc.) is a plus

Schedule

Hybrid work schedule: 3–4 days onsite per week in New York City.
