Construction Surveillance Technician I

About the role

The Construction Surveillance Technician (CST) plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and integrity of sensitive and classified facilities. The CST supports the Department of the Air Force in providing security oversight during construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Affirms, identifies, and communicates recommendations for improving policies, procedures, or systems.
• Identifies threats, vulnerabilities, and potential risks.
• Drafts security incident reports and briefs government and civilian agencies, including military senior leaders.
• Manages uniformed escort personnel and associated logs; assigns, trains, briefs site security duties, and ensures timely reporting of security incidents to the site lead.
• Performs miscellaneous administrative support functions as directed by the contractor site lead and/or the Senior Security Representative.
• Conducts inspections of materials being delivered for secure space construction.
• Photographs and continuously monitors the construction of secure spaces and documents all steps to support final accreditation packets.

Requirements

Must currently possess an Interim Secret Clearance and be able to obtain a Top Secret/SCI Public Trust/Other clearance. Must have 1+ years of related experience, be a US citizen, and have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Skills

Knowledge of ICD 705, Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 705, on SCIFs and compliance with uniform IC physical and technical security requirements.

Benefits

Maximum equivalent experience for SPED Certifications is no more than 5 years. Salary range: $64,230 - $78,085. Other benefits include:
