Construction Sales Engineer - Low/Medium Voltage Switchgear
Siemens, a global powerhouse in electrical and electronic engineering, is looking for a seasoned sales engineer with experience in selling Low/Medium Voltage power distribution products in the NJ/NYC market.
About the role
This position will be remote/hybrid in the greater NJ/NYC market. You will develop and support Distributors and Electrical Contractor opportunities, with a focus on achieving projects through the area Construction Channel. Your role includes providing market presence and channel support to drive share growth, fully utilizing SieSales to forecast contractor opportunities, and offering product support for:
- Panelboards
- Switchboards
- Medium Voltage gear
- Lighting Panels
- Low Voltage Switchgear
- Busway
- Motor Control Centers
- Molded Case Circuit Breakers
- IEC/NEMA Control
- Safety Switches
- Residential Products
You will build and maintain a business plan by cultivating a healthy sales pipeline, uncovering new opportunities, following up on leads, and managing the existing customer base. Additionally, you will develop and implement strategic account plans to exceed revenue, profitability, and customer satisfaction goals, while building long-term relationships with senior management at key accounts, solution partners, and channels.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 5+ years of sales experience OR 10+ years of sales experience
- Ability to travel 5% of the time
- Legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization
Preferred Qualifications
- BS in Electrical Engineering
- 3+ years of selling to local electrical contractors
- 3+ years of sales experience with LV/MV power distribution product line
