Role Description

The Construction Sales Engineer is responsible for selling low- and medium-voltage power distribution and power control solutions within the Memphis construction market.

  • Develop and maintain strong, trusted relationships with electrical contractors and distributor partners
  • Provide guidance around the application/use of electrical distribution equipment in construction projects
  • Provide subject matter expertise of Siemens products and systems with electrical distributors and contractors
  • Provide a strong market presence and support distribution channel partners to drive market share growth
  • Fully utilize Siemens CRM (SieSales) as the tool to develop and forecast contractor opportunities
  • Build and maintain a business plan by cultivating a healthy sales pipeline by uncovering new opportunities, following up on leads and managing existing customer base
  • Develop and implement plans for strategic accounts that exceed expectations in revenue retention/growth, account profitability, and customer satisfaction/loyalty
  • Build long-term relationships with senior management at key distribution and contractor accounts

Qualifications

  • Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in engineering is strongly desired, although a combination of education (HS Diploma or GED equivalency is a minimum requirement) and directly related work experience will also be considered. 5+ years of successful sales experience. 3+ years of LV/MV power distribution product line. Ability to travel 5% of the time. Individual must possess a valid Driver's license in good standing. Individual must be at least 21 years of age to participate in the required Siemens vehicle plan.
  • Preferred Qualifications: BS in Electrical Engineering preferred. Experience selling to Electrical Contractors is a requirement.

Pay and Schedule

The pay range for this position is $74,970.00 - $156,794.00 annually plus an uncapped commission structure. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
