Job Summary

Dominion Energy is seeking a Project Manager with interconnection responsibilities to help with new construction and uprate projects across all of Dominion Generation. This role involves managing a large workload while working with a wide variety of stakeholders to achieve successful completion of Company goals.

Responsibilities

  • Aid in PJM, Virginia State, and other utility interconnection queue submittals for acquired, self-developed, and uprate projects.
  • Support the advancement of project queue positions through appropriate queue processes in alignment with Company goals regarding schedule and budget.
  • Engage in interconnection diligence efforts for acquisition and PPA projects.
  • Provide regular updates on interconnection status for all projects during construction.
  • Assume responsibility for payment of all interconnection invoices.
  • Offer limited technical support related to metering and operational requirements for generation projects.
  • Collaborate with technical and non-technical business owners to address challenges and achieve project success.
  • Evaluate site feasibility based on applicable interconnection requirements.
  • Create estimates for capital requests and other planning efforts.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with project stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective project completion.
  • Participate in weekly coordination meetings and submit progress reports to align all parties on scope, schedule, permitting, and budget.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in leading and managing complex projects in the same or related domain.
  • Project management experience including developing and managing scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Strong organizational skills to successfully manage deadline-driven queue processes.
  • Ability to conduct business case analysis and translate information into useful formats and draw conclusions.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workloads.
  • Experience in generation interconnection work as either the interconnection customer or transmission owner is considered a significant plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Electrical Engineering Degree preferred.
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Ability to work with technical and non-technical business owners to overcome obstacles and deliver results.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in generation interconnection work as either the interconnection customer or transmission owner is considered a significant plus.
  • Electrical Engineering Degree preferred.
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Ability to work with technical and non-technical business owners to overcome obstacles and deliver results.

  • Competitive salary range: $81,900 - $106,400
