Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary interface with owner, architects, engineers, consultants and contractors.
- Support management of the design development process, including participation in design coordination meetings, and resolution of design issues impacting scope.
- Aid in cost estimating reviews, schedule reviews, constructability evaluations, and value engineering during design and preconstruction.
- Support oversight of contractor procurement, including bid package reviews, RFI’s, proposal evaluations, and selection recommendations.
- Participate in contractor progress meetings and site visits to monitor schedule, quality and overall performance.
- Aid in monitoring project budgets, cost commitments, and financial performance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Review pay applications, change orders, and cost proposals providing recommendations to project leadership.
- Maintain project documentation, including meeting minutes, reports, correspondence, and project records.
- Aid in preparing executive-level reports and presentations for leadership and owner stakeholders.
- Monitor contractor compliance with contract requirements, regulatory conditions, and project specifications.
- Aid in project closeout activities including punch list tracking, documentation review and turnover.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field; Master’s degree or other advanced education is a plus.
- 6–10 years of experience in construction management, owners representation, or related project management roles.
- Experience supporting both design and construction phases of commercial, institutional, or large-scale urban infrastructure projects.
- Working knowledge of design process, construction documentation, and coordination practices.
- Ability to review and interpret drawings, specifications, schedules, and cost reports.
- Familiarity with construction delivery methods and contract structures.
- Demonstrated ability in procurement processes bid evaluations, and contractor–architect/engineer coordination.
- Experience in cost estimating, budgeting, schedule tracking, and change management practices.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage documentation and multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Effective communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports for presentation to senior stakeholders.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management/document control tools (e.g. Prolog, PlanGrid, Autodesk).
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements, permitting process, and quality control standards.
- Professional certifications such as PMP, CCM, LEED, and/or OSHA 30 a plus.
