Construction Project Coordinator
About the role
We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented Construction Project Coordinator to support the successful planning, coordination, and delivery of construction projects. This role serves as a critical link between the design team and field operations, ensuring project drawings, documentation, schedules, and communications are accurate, organized, and aligned with project objectives.
Responsibilities
- Support the planning, scheduling, and execution of construction activities.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure project requirements are met.
- Monitor project timelines, milestones, and deliverables, providing regular status updates to stakeholders.
- Assist in resolving project issues and maintaining workflow efficiency.
Design Coordination
- Develop, revise, and maintain construction drawings and plans.
- Interpret architectural, structural, and engineering drawings and translate them into detailed construction documents.
- Verify drawing accuracy and ensure compliance with project requirements, industry standards, and applicable codes.
- Manage drawing revisions and maintain current project records.
Documentation & Communication
- Maintain and organize project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, permits, change orders, and project correspondence.
- Prepare meeting agendas, minutes, reports, and progress updates.
- Serve as a liaison between office personnel, project managers, and field teams to ensure effective communication and information sharing.
Quality Control & Compliance
- Assist in ensuring construction activities are performed in accordance with approved plans, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Support site inspections and quality assurance efforts to verify compliance and identify potential issues.
- Help maintain project documentation related to safety, quality, and compliance standards.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction project coordination, drafting, or a related field.
- Solid understanding of construction drawings, blueprints, specifications, and building processes.
- Exceptional organizational, time-management, and multitasking abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with construction management software such as Procore, MS Project, or similar platforms is preferred.
