About the role
This position is responsible for completing post-closing reviews of loan documentation for construction loans, including reviewing budget documentation to ensure accuracy and adherence to approval requirements.
Responsibilities
- Provide support and backup to the Construction Monitoring Assistant Lead and Construction Monitoring Lead
- Ensure activation of all construction loans within the Construct monitoring system, tracking total project costs and required borrower injected equity amounts
- Maintain workflow and ensure compliance with Loan Policy and procedures, as well as SOX requirements
- Review construction loan documentation for exceptions, verify project costs, equity requirements, and HVCRE status (if applicable)
- Ensure compliance with Renasant Loan Policy for proper loan documentation
- Verify that all construction loans are approved in compliance with Loan Policy requirements
- Assist with monitoring daily and monthly reports to maintain construction loans in the monitoring system
- Assist with setting up new user access for internal and external users
- Enter information for residential and commercial inspections as needed
- Ensure proper administration and adherence to Loan Policy guidelines during the life of the construction loan
- Escalate discrepancies to the Construction Monitoring Assistant Lead, Team Lead, Credit Admin Manager, or other management as needed
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years of banking, loan documentation, credit quality, compliance, or underwriting experience
- Knowledge of residential and commercial construction loans
- Detailed oriented with ability to learn federal and state laws and regulations related to construction loans
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in personal computer use, database management, and software
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
