Loan Document Review Specialist

Responsibilities

• Reviewing loan documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards
• Verifying borrower information, loan terms, and supporting documentation
• Identifying discrepancies, missing documentation, or potential risk factors and escalating as needed
• Collaborating with loan officers and loan assistants to resolve documentation issues
• Maintaining detailed records of findings and communicating required corrections clearly and efficiently
• Performing quality control audits on closed loan files to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards
• Staying current with industry regulations, compliance requirements, and lending guidelines

Requirements

• Two years of experience in mortgage, lending, loan processing, underwriting support, or document review
• A strong understanding of loan documentation, including income verification, credit reports, and closing disclosures
• A familiarity with regulatory requirements such as TRID, RESPA, and TILA
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
• The ability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues efficiently
