Construction lead man/foreman

Responsibilities

• Supervise site operations
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents
• Organize materials and equipment
• Maintain clear communication with project managers, subcontractors, and clients
• Monitor quality, address site issues, and support carpentry and maintenance tasks
• Enforce safety protocols and company procedures
• Train team members
• Track progress and provide accurate updates and documentation for ongoing projects

Qualifications

• Strong supervisory skills, including crew leadership, task delegation, and on-site coordination
• Experience operating and overseeing heavy equipment commonly used in commercial and industrial construction
• Effective communication skills for working with team members, contractors, and clients, both verbally and in writing
• Proficient carpentry skills and hands-on experience with construction, installation, and repair work
• Maintenance skills related to building systems, structural repairs, and preventive maintenance in industrial and commercial settings
• Knowledge of construction safety standards, OSHA guidelines, and ability to enforce safe work practices
• Prior experience as a foreman, lead person, or similar role in commercial or industrial construction preferred
