About the role

Lead moderately complex security projects with medium to high corporate priority. Provide subject matter expertise in areas including project management, security system setup, project scope definition, risk identification, security project methodology, prioritization, and facilitation. Maintain control of schedule, cost, safety, quality, and customer expectations/satisfaction at all times. Present to management and/or customers on project updates, security project cycle, and encouraged results. Manage vendor relationships throughout the security installation. Ensure projects are closed on time and within scope.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and apply PMI methodology and key knowledge areas relevant to security projects.
  • Communicate and report project status to project staff, customers, and Johnson Controls management.
  • Lead project resources, assign duties, responsibilities, and provide technical advice and problem resolution.
  • Track project expenditures and modify schedules as necessary.
  • Maintain project quality in security installations, conducting inspections and ensuring workmanship meets Johnson Controls standards.
  • Provide customer service and address customer concerns and issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Associates Degree or equivalent work experience of at least five years.
  • Five years Project Management experience in the security industry (preferred) or new construction experience.
  • Preferred certifications such as CSPM (Certified Security Project Manager) or PMI PMP (Project Management Institute, Project Management Professional).
  • Travel as needed.

Qualifications

  • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Must have at least five years of project management experience.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Skills

  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to manage vendor relationships.
  • Proficient in quality assurance and customer service.

Pay

Hiring Salary Range: $89,000 - $134,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)

Schedule

Full-time position.
