Description

  • Project Planning and Coordination: Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets.
    • Cook up detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Cover all bases with architects, designers, and subcontractors to align on project goals and timelines.
    • Collaborate with architects, designers, and subcontractors to ensure everyone is on the same page.
  • Site Management: Oversee daily operations on job sites, ensuring work is performed to the highest standards of quality and safety.
    • Watch over job sites every day to make sure everything is done right and safely.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and address any issues.
    • Check on the job site regularly to see how things are going and fix any problems that come up.
  • Client Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project status and addressing any concerns.
    • Be the main person clients talk to about their projects and keep them informed about what’s happening.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients to enhance customer satisfaction and retention.
    • Build good relationships with clients so they like working with you and your company.
  • Budget Management: Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring that all costs are tracked and controlled.
    • Make a budget for the project and keep track of all the money coming in and out.
  • Approve and manage change orders as necessary.
    • Decide if changes to the project are okay and handle any changes that need to be made.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of construction professionals, ensuring effective collaboration and communication.
    • Guide and teach your team members to work together well and communicate clearly.
  • Schedule and facilitate regular team meetings to review project progress and address challenges.
    • Plan and run meetings with your team to check on how the project is going and solve any problems that come up.
  • Quality Control: Implement and enforce quality control procedures to ensure adherence to design specifications and building codes.
    • Put in place rules to make sure the project follows the design and building codes.
  • Address any deficiencies promptly and effectively.
    • Fix any problems quickly and make sure they don’t happen again.

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
    • Get a degree in one of these fields to learn about construction and how to manage projects.
  • 2+ years of experience in residential construction project management, with a focus on luxury single-family homes.
    • Have 2 or more years of experience managing projects for luxury single-family homes.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
    • Know how to do different construction tasks, what materials to use, and follow the rules.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
    • Can handle lots of projects at once and finish them on time.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Can talk to people well and get along with others.
  • Proficient in project management software (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Project).
    • Use software to help plan and manage projects.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Good at finding solutions to problems and noticing small details.
