Condition Monitoring Engineer or Technical Specialist

Responsibilities

• Operate and Develop Condition Monitoring programs for John Crane clients in conjunction with the Lead CM Engineer.
• Conduct routine Condition Monitoring surveys at our clients’ premises.
• Conduct analysis of routine vibration data.
• Report Vibration and Oil Analysis results and associated corrective maintenance recommendations.
• Interface with the client for the on-site delivery of Condition Monitoring services.
• Conduct periodic on-site Pump Performance Testing and on-site Reporting.
• Using a defined process calculate the cost benefit of carrying out recommendations.
• Work within the requirements of the Integrated Management System.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent required.
• A Mechanical Engineer or Mechanical Engineering Technology degree preferred and/or equivalent and relevant work experience with rotating equipment.
• Vibration Analysis ISO 18436-2 Category 2, or equivalent required.
• Lubrication Analysis ISO 18436-4 Category 2, or equivalent preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience required in vibration analysis for condition monitoring of rotating equipment (pumps, compressors).
• Experience with mechanical seals a big plus.
• Proficient with Computers, MS Office and specialist vibration monitoring software.
• PREFERRED SKILLS: Thermography, Rotor Dynamics Analysis, Laser Alignment, and Electrical Tests.
• Experience working in a diverse environment with a global company is a plus.
