About the role

This is a new construction role at the Bison Generation Station power plant project. As a Concrete Journeyman, you will contribute to a safety-focused team, working with rotating equipment and coordinating with other crafts to deliver high-quality concrete work.

Responsibilities

• Practice and promote safe work habits at all times.
• Work proficiently with rotating equipment.
• Assist supervisors with planning and future tasks.
• Coordinate work with other crafts and co-workers on-site.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematic drawings, and building plans to determine work procedures and material requirements.
• Select appropriate materials (e.g., mixes, admixtures, curing compounds, grouts, sealants) based on job specifications for industrial sites.
• Inspect bracing and shoring of concrete forms to ensure stability before and during pouring.
• Verify proper permits are obtained and understand all permit requirements.
• Prioritize tasks according to job schedule and work sequence.
• Assist with industrial carpentry, reinforcing iron and rebar, and site layout as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience as a Concrete Finisher.
• Work experience in petrochemical, power plant, or oil and gas refinery environments.
• Must pass a drug and alcohol test.
• Must hold one of the following certifications: OSHA 10, OSHA 30, or Safety Essentials.
