About the role
The Department of Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) in Omaha, NE, is recruiting a board eligible/board certified Comprehensive Ophthalmologist to provide general ophthalmic care including routine eye exams, laser, medical, and surgical care for all types of conditions of the eye and surrounding structures. This position includes opportunities for teaching, research, and patient care in a renowned academic environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive ophthalmic care including routine eye exams, laser, medical, and surgical care for all types of conditions of the eye and surrounding structures.
- Teach residents and fellows in the department.
- Participate in research activities within the department.
- Contribute to the residency and fellowship programs.
Requirements
- Board Eligible/Board Certified in Ophthalmology.
- Experience in general ophthalmic care, including routine eye exams, laser, medical, and surgical care.
- Interest in teaching, research, and participation in residency and fellowship programs.
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree.
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency program in Ophthalmology.
- Current license to practice medicine in the state of Nebraska.
