About the role

The Medical College of Wisconsin's Department of Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences is seeking an academically oriented board certified/eligible Comprehensive Ophthalmologist to join our expanding team. This position will be primarily located at the Eye Institute, Milwaukee, WI (Froedtert Hospital Campus) with potential days per week at satellite clinics.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive eye examinations and manage a caseload of patients with various ocular conditions.
  • Conduct and publish research in collaboration with faculty members.
  • Teach medical students, residents, and fellows in the department.
  • Participate in clinical and administrative committees as needed.
  • Provide coverage during core business hours with some flexibility required, as necessary, to accommodate business needs.

Requirements

  • Must be a licensed MD or equivalent.
  • Candidates must be board Certified/Eligible by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
  • Be eligible for medical licensure in Wisconsin.

Qualifications

  • An interest in clinical or basic science research is desirable and could be supported.

Pay

Open-rank, full-time faculty position.

Available in either the traditional track or clinician-educator track.

Schedule

Full-time faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level.

Provide coverage during core business hours with some flexibility required, as necessary, to accommodate business needs.
