About the role

The Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Virginia School of Medicine is seeking applicants for a tenure-eligible faculty position specializing in cornea and external disease. The Department currently serves as the ophthalmic referral center for central and western Virginia and parts of West Virginia, North Carolina, and eastern Tennessee. The abundance of patient volume provides excellent opportunities for advancement in ophthalmology.

Qualifications

• MD or equivalent by appointment start date
• Completed fellowship in cornea
• Committed to a career in academic medicine
• Interested in combining clinical practice with resident education and/or research
• American Board of Ophthalmology certified or board-eligible
