Job Description

The Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Florida invites applications for a full-time faculty position at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in the area of comprehensive ophthalmology to expand our academic practice. There is immediate opportunity to engage in a busy tertiary clinical practice in an established longstanding department with a brand new, state-of-the-art clinic and surgery center. In addition to delivering excellence in patient care, the successful candidate will have ample opportunities to develop independent and collaborative research initiatives and to contribute to innovative educational programs within a dynamic academic medical center.

Expected Salary

$256-300k annually; Commensurate based on rank and experience with an excellent benefits package.

Minimum Requirements

  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited ophthalmology residency program.
  • Board certification or eligibility and licensure (or eligibility) to practice medicine in the State of Florida are required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A strong commitment to teaching, resident training, and research as well as participation in academic activities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with strong interpersonal skills.
