About the role

Power the future of energy while accelerating your engineering career. Join a team at the forefront of industrial gas turbine innovation, where you'll tackle complex technical challenges, collaborate with global experts, and help develop technologies that keep the world running. If you're driven by problem-solving, cutting-edge engineering, and continuous growth, you'll find no shortage of opportunities to make your mark and see your ideas come to life.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design of turbine hot gas path components, providing critical thermal analyses, evaluations, and designs to achieve state-of-the-art performance in efficiency, component life, robustness, and manufacturability.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the tools landscape, including classical heat transfer tools, tool chains, and automated workflows, by utilizing tools and data reduction activities. Provide ideas for improvement in functionality, efficiency, and analysis fidelity, including identification of AI/ML opportunities and follow-on support.
  • Advance Conjugate Heat Transfer (CHT) 3D thermal design methodology through application to components required for new engines, upgrades, and technical issues. Identify new CHT implementation approaches and application methodologies.
  • Contribute to vital engine and component testing, critical for validation of designs, analyses, and tools. Provide engine test and validation requirements, prepare test predictions, and perform post-test data reduction and analyses.

Requirements

  • University degree in mechanical, aerospace, or materials engineering, with a focus on thermo-fluid science.
  • 5+ years of experience with FEA, CFD, and CAD, with strong familiarity in Conjugate Heat Transfer.
  • Industrial and practical experience with turbo-machinery, turbine hot gas path component thermal design, fluid systems, or similar applications.
  • Strong knowledge of heat transfer discipline fundamentals.
  • Proficiency in computational and programming skills (e.g., APDL, Python).
  • Comfortable in a global and dynamic, fast-paced Integrated Product Team environment.
  • Highly motivated, proactive, self-directed, and innovative.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for Siemens Energy sponsorship.
