Compliance Specialist

Responsibilities

• Evaluate the effectiveness of the Bank's compliance program, including reviews of internal controls and adherence to consumer laws and regulations.
• Perform testing at appropriate intervals to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and adequacy of policies, procedures, and controls.
• Maintain monitoring of Bank departments at appropriate intervals for compliance with applicable laws and regulations and adequacy of internal controls.
• Create, design, develop, and implement a technology-based compliance solution for bank operations.
• Communicate with the Compliance Officer for inclusion in compliance risk assessments.
• Develop tools and procedures to ensure adequate monitoring processes are established to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, including regulatory revisions in coordination with the Compliance Officer.
• Attend various project and committee meetings to provide the compliance perspective on issues discussed.
• Ensure that Compliance Department policies and procedures are revised as necessary.

Qualifications

• Strong written communication skills to produce comprehensive, accurate reports summarizing adherence with consumer compliance laws and regulations.
• Knowledge of consumer compliance regulations and ability to monitor regulatory revisions.
• Ability to assist in the development and deployment of appropriate training and oversight programs with respect to Compliance laws to all employees and the Board of Directors.
• Experience in developing and deploying technology-based compliance solutions for bank operations.
• Experience in attending project and committee meetings to provide the compliance perspective on issues discussed.
• Experience in ensuring that Compliance Department policies and procedures are revised as necessary.
