Axia HR is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Compliance Manager to join a leading global telecommunications and technology company with extensive operations in Tanzania. This pivotal role involves overseeing comprehensive compliance governance, managing regulatory requirements, and implementing robust risk management frameworks to ensure all business activities align with Tanzanian laws, international regulations, and internal company standards. The successful candidate will foster an environment of integrity and operational excellence in Dar es Salaam.

Responsibilities

• Oversee comprehensive compliance governance and regulatory requirements.
• Implement and maintain robust risk management frameworks.
• Ensure alignment of business activities with Tanzanian laws, international regulations, and internal company standards.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional business units, executive management, government institutions, legal advisors, and industry associations.
• Establish and maintain effective compliance systems to safeguard the organization against legal and regulatory risks.
• Promote a culture of compliance across all organizational levels.
• Navigate complex regulatory landscapes proactively.

Requirements

• Proven experience in compliance management, preferably within the telecommunications or technology sector.
• Strong understanding of Tanzanian laws and international regulatory frameworks.
• Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams and executive management.
• Proactive leadership in navigating complex regulatory environments.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to integrity and operational excellence.

This position is based in Dar es Salaam.
