Compensation Specialist

Responsibilities

  • Aids in the development, management, and administration of compensation programs.
  • Administers and responds to compensation-related inquiries through the Service Now system.
  • Maintains compensation-related databases and systems supporting compensation programs.
  • Administers ad-hoc bonuses and addresses related questions from field and corporate associates.
  • Collaborates with the Compensation team to evaluate and edit new or existing jobs.
  • Supports the wage analysis process through market research and insights.
  • Provides initial recommendations for approval and supports the administration of the annual merit and performance review processes.
  • Performs regular and ad hoc analysis, creating requested reports from multiple data sources.
  • Administers Brookdale’s company’s minimum wage updates to ensure compliance with state, federal, and local laws.
  • Creates processes and systems to support the Compensation team with information management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Prior experience in Human Resources or a related field is preferred.
  • Additional years of related work experience may substitute for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis up to two years.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including proficiency in Word and Excel.

Pay

Base pay in the range will be determined by applicant’s skills and experience.

Schedule

Temporary associates are not benefits eligible but may participate in the company’s 401(k) program.
