Company Operated Housing Supervisor

About the role

A Farm Supervisor with strong leadership and communication skills is needed to oversee poultry farm operations. While experience is the primary qualification, college courses or a degree in agricultural business or animal science are recommended.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and efficiency of poultry farm operations
• Prioritize tasks and determine the necessary machinery and workforce
• Record data and create reports on worker attendance, budget, supplies, and animal growth
• Assign duties to farm workers and ensure tasks are carried out efficiently
• Oversee machinery for tasks such as egg collection
• Train new workers
• Provide care to injured or ill livestock
• Enforce workplace sanitation practices to prevent disease spread

Requirements

• BS in Poultry Science or related field, or 5 years of poultry experience
• Breeder and pullet experience, including vaccination, farm clean-outs, and farm/vehicle maintenance
• Ability to work flexible hours, including being on call 24 hours a day
• Self-motivated with the ability to perform tasks accurately and efficiently
• Current driver’s license
