About the role
Community Representatives are community members who:
- Raise awareness of Alzheimer's Association programs
- Provide basic disease information
- Link consumers to Alzheimer’s Association services
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include:
- Engaging with the community to promote Alzheimer's Association initiatives
- Offering support and resources to individuals affected by Alzheimer's disease
- Representing the Alzheimer's Association at various events and meetings
Requirements
Requirements include:
- A background check
- Attendance at an orientation session
- Ability to commit to a 1-year period with 1-5 hours of service per month
Qualifications
Qualifications include:
- Willingness to learn about Alzheimer's disease and its impact on communities
- Strong communication skills
- Interest in community development and health advocacy
Skills
Skills required include:
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of Alzheimer's disease and related issues
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
