About the role

Community Representatives are community members who:

  • Raise awareness of Alzheimer's Association programs
  • Provide basic disease information
  • Link consumers to Alzheimer’s Association services

Responsibilities

Community Representatives will:

  • Engage with the community to promote Alzheimer's Association initiatives
  • Offer support and resources to individuals affected by Alzheimer's disease
  • Collaborate with local organizations to enhance Alzheimer's awareness

Requirements

Volunteers must:

  • Be in or near Redding, CA
  • Have a few hours available each month
  • Commit to a 1-year period with 1-5 hours per month

Qualifications

Qualifications include:

  • Strong communication skills
  • Interest in Alzheimer's disease and its impact on communities
  • Willingness to learn about Alzheimer's Association programs

Skills

Skills required include:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to connect with diverse populations
  • Basic knowledge of Alzheimer's disease
