About the role
Community Educators are volunteer public speakers who provide Alzheimer's Association education programs to community audiences on a variety of care and support topics.
Responsibilities
- Provide education programs on Alzheimer's disease and related dementias
- Engage with community members to promote understanding and support
- Present at various venues including libraries, senior centers, and community events
Requirements
- Must be 21 years or older
- Ability to commit to 2-4 hours per month
- Willingness to travel to different locations within Butte County
- Pass a background check
- Attend an orientation session
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills
- Interest in Alzheimer's disease and related dementias
- Experience speaking publicly is a plus
